We are a company that operates responsibly, sustainably and with integrity.

To be sustainable we understand that we must know the impact our business has on the world around us, and the impact the world has on our business.

We understand that our customers are tackling some of the world’s greatest challenges. They are working to safeguard and improve our natural resources whilst simultaneously decreasing their environmental footprint and safeguarding the local communities in which we live and work.

We work in partnership with our customers, using our core skills in engineering design, fabrication and installation to turn concepts into real projects, targets into reality.

Environment

We are greatly aware of the adverse effect that our activities can have on the environment. As an organisation our emission pollutants to the land, water and air, including dust and smell, are negligible.

We operate a Total Waste Management approach with regards to the materials we use and the waste generated

We are ISO 14001 approved

In our acknowledgment of our duty of care towards the environment, we have committed to the protection of the environment, including the prevention of pollution and reduction of waste from our activities through the development, operation and accreditation to our ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system.

We never lose sight of the fact that our people are our business. It is their skills, expertise and commitment that make Richard Alan Engineering what it is today. By continually investing in our people, they become key to securing the future success of a business that is built on teamwork.

Apprenticeship Program

Our apprentices are mentored by highly qualified and experienced engineers to ensure they are learning from the best every step of the way.
Apprenticeships are something we are very passionate about. We thrive on seeing young people coming on board, developing their careers in engineering and manufacturing, and fulfilling their potential.

Ambassador Program

We aim to make a positive social and economic contribution to the local community in which we live and work. Through our Richard Alan Group Ambassador’s we support local initiatives and charities.

In 2022 our nominated Charity of the Year is Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families in West Yorkshire. They are there for any family confronted with the news their child has a life-shortening condition, however, wherever and whenever they need them. By providing superb nursing care, hydrotherapy, creative therapy, days out, memory making, end of life care, bereavement support and counselling, Forget Me Not helps families make the most of every moment they have together.
