• Reduction of interfaces for main contractor – Only three interfaces for main contractor; RAE , conveyor manufacturer and electrical installer; previously would be five (steel erectors, centrifuge manufacturers, conveyor manufacturers, pipe installers and electrical installer) Centrifuges and acoustic covers supplied by Alfa Laval were fitted to the platform prior to dispatch and installed as one unit
• Richard Alan conducted a black build of the entire assembly at their fabrication facility at Shaw Cross, where the customer had the opportunity to inspect the built structure prior to despatch to site.
• Reduced installation period, total installation completed in 1 week
• Reduced Risk & Complexity and Cost. Only 2 lifting operations, huge saving on crane costs
• Safer than a traditional install. Reduction of HAVS on site –working closely with civil contractor, so anchor bolts are pre-cast into base prior to delivery, eliminating drilling of the concrete
• Reduction in hand-over period – Whole assembly fully inspected prior to leaving the works, so defects are rectified before arriving on site.
