A high specification stainless steel system for a large paper mill where accuracy of makeup concentration is critical.

The Load Cell makeup unit comprises a weigh hopper that is filled above the batch weight and the polymer is weighed out into the transfer system to the JetWet™ head. This ensures batch accuracy and certainty.


  • 40 tonne polymer powder storage silo of 304L stainless steel
  • Skirted housing mounted on 4 load cells
  • Dehumidifier unit
  • Silo roof fitted with hand-railing and kick-plates
  • ‘Loss in weight’ hopper delivery system mounted on 4 load cells
  • Primary weigh screwfeeder
  • Individual hopper arrangement to be installed into the silo skirt prior to delivery to site
  • Dosing pumps with complete integrated manifold
  • Control equipment

The equipment was built into a silo for outdoor installation,
with the tanks and pumps located inside the adjacent building.
