Health and Safety

The health & safety of Richard Alan employees demands at least the same degree of attention and emphasis as that placed on its mainstream activity.

Richard Alan aims to achieve a working environment in all projects that is free of work-related accidents, dangerous occurrences and ill health, also recognising its responsibilities for the health & safety of others; the public, site visitors, who may be affected by our activities and to this end Richard Alan pursue continuing improvements every year.
Statutory Duties:

Identifying hazards on site, assessing the risks related to them and implementing appropriate preventive and protective measures. Risk assessments in compliance with legislation will be conducted by the group safety advisor and or the group manager.

Providing and maintaining safe plant and work equipment.

Recruiting and appointing personnel who have the skill, ability and competence with their role and level of responsibility.

Ensuring that technical competence is maintained through the provision of refresher training as appropriate.

Promoting awareness of health & safety and of good practice through the effective communication of relevant information.

Furnishing the resources needed to meet these objectives.
