At the Beckton & Crossness sites, two advanced digestion plants were required to provide additional capacity for seasonal sludge treatment of wastewater and ultimately help to deliver greater operational flexibility. Similarly, a new plant at Basingstoke, with centrifuges for sludge de-watering was underway. As part of the treatment process, all sites required complete polymer storage, make-up and dosing systems.
